6 Days Morocco desert tour to Erg Chebbi and Erg Chigaga dunes from Marrakech.

After breakfast, we start our day with a drive towards the Todra Gorges where many of rock climbers come to enjoy their preferred sport. Later we continue our journey, following the ancient Bedouin trading routes parallel with the Middle Atlas, passing a series of the fortified villages with outstanding architecture. The route to Erfoud is one of the most pleasing of all the Southern routes. The town is in a dry red built of desert and was built by the French as a central administration town. It is known for its rich black fossils marble. The stone is sculpted to bring the fossils into relief on everything from ashtrays to washbasins and more. We head down to the spectacular Merzouga dunes where sand dunes signify the start of the mighty Sahara Desert. We leave our vehicle and take a camel ride into the desert of Erg Chebbi. As night falls, you will enjoy a Gala dinner with festivity to celebrate the New Year Eve in the middle of the Sahara Desert. Meals: Dinner & Breakfast included.

After enjoying a picturesque sunrise upon the stunning dunes, you will have breakfast in the camp. Then, you will ride camel back to the meeting point with your driver. You will start your day with an interesting visit to the fossils workshops followed by a stop in Rissani village. The tour continues south to reach the magnificent Draa valley with its vast palms and old villages. You will have a stop for lunch in Alnif. Then, continue via Agdez where once the trading caravans travelled to Timbuktu on a long trip that lasted 52 days. Arrive to Zagora for the overnight with dinner in a Riad or hotel. Today we drive towards Tamgerout to visit the famous Koran Library and subterranean Kasbah and the Manufacture of pottery. Then, continue towards the desert gate M’hamid for lunch. We take a track which carries out through the rocky desert scenery to the sand dunes of Chigaga that spread over 40 km. Welcome drink. Then you enjoy the sunset ridding camels in Eg Chigaga dunes. Spend the overnight with dinner in a desert camp or under a star-filled sky. Meals: Dinner & Breakfast included.

We will wake up early to witness the spectacle of the sunrise from the top of the dunes of Erg Chigaga. After breakfast, say goodbye to our Berber team in the camp. Then, we make our journey back in 4x4 Jeep to the city of Marrakech. We will follow the old Paris-Dakar road through Iriqui Lake to Foum Zguid village. We arrive to Ouarzazate for the overnight with dinner in a Riad or hotel. Meals: Dinner & Breakfast included.

After breakfast, you will start exploring the Hollywood of Africa Ouarzazate. You will visit the authentic Kasbah of Taourit as well as the Cinema Atlas Studio where several movies were shot such as: The Jewel of the Nile, The Mummy, Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Babel, Game of Thrones… etc. Afterwards, drive through the scenic views and landscapes of the Atlas Mountains with an optional visit to the Kasbah of Telouat. We reach the red city Marrakech by the sunset. Meals: Breakfast included
